Dr. Anil Sharma is a pioneer in minimally invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery in India, with a distinguished career spanning more than three decades. As the Senior Director of the Max Institute of Laparoscopic, Robotic, and Bariatric Surgery, he has been instrumental in advancing laparoscopic and hernia surgery standards in the country. Before joining Max Healthcare, he trained and practiced in the UK, where he earned dual FRCS degrees. Dr. Sharma is also a founding member and former President of the Asia Pacific Hernia Society (APHS) and has contributed extensively to surgical education through numerous training programs and editorial roles. His approach blends precision, innovation, and patient-centered care.
