Dr. Dinesh Kumar Chirla is a distinguished pediatric intensivist and neonatologist, currently serving as the Director of Intensive Care Services at Rainbow Children’s Hospital. With more than three decades of clinical experience, he has been instrumental in developing one of the largest neonatal and pediatric intensive care networks in India. He has trained in prestigious institutions across India, the UK, and Australia, and is recognized internationally for his expertise in critical care and neonatal transport. A gold medalist, prolific researcher with over 70 publications, and academic leader, Dr. Chirla has also contributed to record-breaking initiatives like the largest gathering of preterm babies (Guinness World Record) and saving South Asia’s smallest baby (375 grams). His leadership has helped grow Rainbow from 50 beds to 1700+ beds, with 350 NICU beds across 5 states.
