Dr. Rajiv obtained his MBBS from SRMC Chennai in 2002, followed by an MS in General Surgery in 2006 and an MCh in Thoracic Surgery in 2009. He has since been employed at Santosham Chest Hospital and Apollo Hospital, as well as serving as a visiting consultant at several other hospitals in the city.Dr. Rajiv is one of only a few surgeons in India performing major lung surgeries through a single port 3cm incision. He has participated in several workshops focused on the latest innovations in thoracic surgery, such as Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS), robotics, and LASER, in regions including Asia, North America, and Europe. His primary interests are in VATS (keyhole lung and chest surgery), tracheal surgery, and mediastinal surgery. Dr. Rajiv has presented various papers at both national and international conferences and has published in both national and international journals.
