Dr. Samir R. Shah is one of India’s most distinguished hepatologists and liver transplant experts, with more than three decades of clinical and academic experience. He has been instrumental in establishing successful liver transplant programs in Mumbai, including at Gleneagles Hospital. He is actively involved in international clinical trials for new drug development, national consensus guidelines for liver diseases, and has made significant contributions in advancing hepatology in India. As a founder trustee of the National Liver Foundation, he continues to lead initiatives in awareness, education, and eradication of viral hepatitis in the Asia-Pacific region.
