Dr. Tarun Kumar Praharaj is one of India’s most experienced Interventional Cardiologists, with over 34 years of clinical expertise. He has been serving at BM Birla Heart Research Centre, Kolkata since 1989 as a full-time Senior Consultant in Cardiology. Trained at the Philippines Heart Centre, Dr. Praharaj has led several pioneering cardiac procedures in India, including performing angioplasty on elderly patients aged 87 and 94 with remarkable outcomes. Notably, he was the preferred cardiologist for Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa in 1993 and 1996.
