Dr. K. S. S. Bhat is a cardiologist with a career spanning over four decades since 1970. He has worked at Manipal Hospital and Heart Lung Clinic in Bangalore. His areas of interest include preventive cardiology, clinical research, and public health education. He has also taught medicine at AIIMS, HAL Hospital, Otago Medical School in New Zealand, and Al Fatah University Medical School in Libya. He pioneered the week-long Preventive Cardiology programme in 1991 as part of the Bangalore Heart Project initiated in 1989 at Manipal Hospitals.
